After quite a Struggle I found the program that worked for me.
Having gone through a "tubby phase" in my early teen years when I used school sport to lose weight, I thought that I could repeat the process when I wanted to lose the weight I put on in my early thirties.
But now it was not as easy to play sport as it had been while I was at school. In fact, instead of losing weight, I actually gained an extra 20lbs.
My first attempt at a slimming program.
After that unsuccesful attempt, I tried the Acai Berry pills. They were pleasant and easy to take and I began to lose weight. It is advertised that they help to counteract the aging process. I didn't see much evidence of that, but maybe that's for older people. I did find that I appeared to have more energy, but whether or not that was because I lost a little weight, I don't know.
I really thought that I had found the right program for me, but then the weight loss came to a halt and that was it. I went so far, but was so disappointed not to continue losing weight. That was nothing, however, to the disappointment I felt when I tried to stop the pills being delivered and stop paying. It was very difficult and took a lot of perseverence.
Second attempt.
The next thing I tried was a program where the meals are made up ready for you and are delivered ready to heat up and eat. I must say that it was very convenient. But after a while the meals did become a little boring. Not only that, having to be in for a certain period of time became a bit of a bind and I started missing deliveries. Then I had the trouble of going to the sorting office to pick up the parcels. The outcome was that I began eating other meals and the weight loss ground to a halt once more.
I was becoming a little bit sceptical by now. I looked through a number of diet and weight loss programs, but really nothing looked as though it would work. I almost gave up.
Third attempt.
Then a friend of mine recommended two complimentary programs that she had tried. Since she looks fantastic, slim and athletic, I decided to give them a try.
The 'diet' program allows me to eat 5 meals a day. Not only that, but I can eat as much or as little as I want and make up my own menu. In the first 5 days, I lost 8 lbs. I just could not believe it. Of course, things slowed down a little after that, but I continued to lose weight consistently. It says in the blurb that comes with the diet that your body will still burn off the calories if you have a break from the diet , but I haven't tested that yet.
The other program is a fitness program. By using some little-known workout techniques, I have managed to tone up my slimming body to the point where I can wear a bikini again without feeling embarrassed. In fact, I can't wait to get to the beach these days.
At last a set of programs which work.
I went from 254 lbs way down to 172 lbs. in about 14 weeks. Not quite the 7 lbs a week promised, but never-the-less, good enough for me!
Apparently, both programs work well for men, too. My husband and my brothers aren't interested right now though, so I can't vouch for that. All I know is that they have worked well for me and my friend.
